Salah is the second pillar of Islam after the shahada (testimony of faith), it is defined as the act of offering prayers to Allah (SWT).
Salah is a daily obligation upon all Muslims "baligh" (mature) age. It is a fundamental role in the Islamic faith, Salah is considered the act of worshipping Allah (SWT).
According to the Quran, there are many verses that show the importance of Salah, here are two verses from the Quran:
Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do. "Qur'an - Chapter 29, Verse 45"
But those who hold fast to the Book and establish prayer – indeed, We will not allow being lost the reward of the pious. "Qur'an - Chapter 7, Verse 170"

- Salah’s principle is to make sure that Muslims maintain their devotion and faith in Allah (SWT).
- Salah increases the closeness to Allah (SWT) “Taqwa”.
- Salah makes us remain conscious of the importance of faith and submission to Allah (SWT).
