A few weeks separate us from the start of winter time in Egypt.

Daylight saving time has been in effect since the last Friday of April, when citizens set their clocks forward by 60 minutes.

Daylight saving time will continue until the last Thursday of next October, after which winter time will begin, and the clock will be delayed by 60 minutes, so that the total period during which daylight saving time has been applied will be 6 full months.

By implementing daylight saving time, the government aims to provide various energy sources such as electricity, gasoline, diesel, gas, petroleum products and gas.

Winter time will return as soon as daylight saving time ends on October 26, at 23:59. Accordingly, the clock will be delayed by 60 minutes, and winter time will begin at midnight on October 27, 2023.
