Al-Fudaikh Mosque (or the Sun Mosque and Al-Fudaikh Mosque is the one in which the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, prayed during the Battle of Bani Al-Nadir in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah
It is located on the eastern side of the Quba Mosque, about one kilometer away. It is on the right of those coming from the Quba Mosque at the intersection of Qurban Street with Al-Awali Street. It is about three hundred meters away from the intersection on the edge of the road that extends with the valley. Its location is within the walled courtyard.
- It is called the Al-Fudaikh Mosque, because Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari and a group of the Companions, may God be pleased with them, spilled Al-Fudaikh’s waterskin when they were informed of the prohibition of alcohol. The mosque built in this location was known as the Al-Fadeh Mosque, referring to this wonderful position of hearing and obedience.
And it is said to him: The Sun Mosque in the seventh century AH, due to its high location and the appearance of the sun on it at its first sunrise.
It is said to him: The mosque of Bani An-Nadir for the prayer of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in its place during the Battle of Banu An-Nadir.
