Al-Sariha Mosque

The mosque is located in the Riyadh region of the historic Diriyah, specifically on the eastern side of Wadi Hanifa, opposite from the northeastern side of Al-Turaif neighborhood.

Al-Sariha Mosque is one of the historical mosques in Ad-Diriyah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Its construction dates back more than 300 years. It was renovated twice, the first time half a century ago, and the second time was in 2017, as part of the program for the reconstruction of historical mosques in Saudi Arabia, which is supervised by the Saudi Tourism Authority. and national heritage.

Historian Rashid bin Muhammad bin Asaker wrote a booklet on ancient mosques and endowments in Diriyah, in which he talked about the Al-Suraiha Mosque, in which scientific lessons were held and a number of religious scholars in Diriyah took over the imamate. He said that it is on the eastern bank of Wadi Hanifa, opposite the Tarif neighborhood from the northeastern side. This mosque has been known since ancient times by this name. He pointed out that the mosque was renovated and renovated more than half a century ago, and it was completed on Safar 16, 1375 AH, so that the gravel and wood of this mosque were removed and new wood was placed in its place.
