Al-Faqeer Mosque: It is also known as the Maithab Mosque. It is one of the alms of the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, and he prayed there, and it is located in Al-Awali. Al-Faqeer is (the pit of a palm tree that is planted in it).

This mosque is located to the right of the road connecting Qurban and Al-Awali, and it is about one kilometer nine hundred meters from the Quba Mosque, and one kilometer from the light signal, and its location is to the right of the (oil) gas station for those coming from Quba or Qurban. It contains a trace of an old mosque, which is a room built of stone, but it is neglected, and yet some visitors pray in it, and it has been recently fenced with an iron fence.

The reason for calling him Al-Faqir is because the Messenger (may God bless him and his family and grant them peace) said to Salman (may God be pleased with him) when I collected for him the date-palm seedlings: “Go, Salman, and give it to me, and if you finish it, then I will: I will put it in my hand.”
