Sha’ban

Shaʽban (Arabic: شَعْبَان Šaʿbān) is the eighth month of the Islamic calendar. It is called the month of ‘separation’, as the word means ‘to disperse’ or ‘to separate’ because the pre-Islamic Arabs used to disperse in search of water.[1] The fifteenth night of this month is Mid-Sha’ban,[2] which coincides with the celebration of Shab-e-Barat in Muslim communities all over Asia. Sha’ban is the last lunar month before Ramadan, […]

The Benefits of Reading Surah Al-Kahf:

1- It is narrated by Abu Saeed al-Khurdi, who said: “Whoever reads Surah al Kahf on the night of Jummah, will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (Kabah).” (al-Jaami).

As this hadith clearly shows, the Surah has tremendous power when recited every Friday night. The Surah, according to the hadith, brings light to the reader, and a stretch of light covers the entire distance between the Kabah and the reader, no matter how far the reader is from Allah’s House. Reciting the Surah on Friday night will bring you an abundance of Allah’s blessings and mercy.

2- We all know that Dajjal is one of the most prominent figures of the end times, however according to Hadith “One who memorized the first ten verses of Surah al Kahf will be secure against the Dajjal.” (Muslim).

Dajjal will bring destruction to humans and havoc on the world, therefore, if one wishes to be safe during such times of adversity and annihilation, one must try to memorize the first ten verses of Surah al Kahf and recite them whenever the opportunity arises.

3- Moreover, Hazrat Ibn Mardwiyah Al Daiyaa (RA) said that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said in a hadith: “Whoever reads Surah al Kahf on yaumul Jummah, he is immune for 8 days from all fitnah that will happen. When the Dajjal comes out, he will be immune to him.”

We can say that Surah Al-Kahf protects Muslims who adhere to righteousness as well as stay on the right path, It is also filled with various virtues and provides Allah (SWT)’s message.
