So, we always prepare for important events, meetings, and occasions and put on our best clothes to look presentable, right?
if you can put that much effort to meet people or only one person, how would it feel like to meet Allah (SWT) or worship him five times a day with Salah?
You can wear your finest clothes, have fresh air blowing into the room, perfume your Musalla and yourself and sit there five minutes prior to your prayer and renew your intentions.
This rule is important if you want to improve your salah, you have to understand whatever you’re reciting during your prayers because when you don’t understand it, your mind will wander.
Also, when you utter each phrase knowingly and slowly, your concentration will improve and in return, you will experience a true and beautiful connection with Allah (SWT) through your Salah.
You can improve your prayer by going slowly as salah is your only conversation with Allah (SWT), so make sure you stretch it for as long as you can.
Regarding this matter, Islamic scholars suggest that if you’re hungry and you have to pray, ear first and then pray rather than rushing throughout your prayer.
Also, make sure to contemplate over on every step and posture of your salah, for instance: when you are bowing in Ruku or Sujood, understand that you are bowing to the King of kings.
